Friends Of Scouting

Friends of Scouting is the program that provides parents, Scouters and the community an opportunity to share in meeting the financial needs of the Alamo Area Council. The program is available to any interested adult. Each individual is encouraged to support scouting according to his or her interest or ability.

Your contribution to Friends of Scouting is not only an investment in the future of young lives. It's an investment in helping to build a strong more productive community in which to live, work and enjoy.

Scouting helps instill qualities like truth and honesty that, all too often, are lacking in today's society. And it helps curb the downward spiral of poverty and crime by maintaining a positive outlet and preparing those who will guide us into the 21st century.

A gift of $165 will support one youth in the Scouting program for one year. If you would like to make a contribution, please fill out a pledge card and send your tax-deductible contribution to:

                                                                            Alamo Area Council,
                                                                            Boy Scouts of America
                                                                            2226 N.W. Military Hwy.
                                                                            San Antonio, TX 78213

Your contribution of $165 will insure that the values that made this country great will continue to influence the youth of today.  For a donation of $165, you will receive a special edition silver bordered council patch from the Scout Law series.  For a donation of $330, you will receive a special edition gold bordered council patch.

If you would like information on estate planning please call Ed Rogers at 210-241-8611 or 1-800-940-2721 ext. 44.
