TEXAS STATE PARKS
RESERVATIONS
Visitors can make reservations for day and overnight facilities and some tours and activities with one phone call. Two exceptions are Indian Lodge in west Texas and the Texas State Railroad in east Texas. A few parks will continue to make their own reservations for special tours and activities.
The Central Reservation Center is staffed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The number to call for state park reservations is (512) 389-8900

Reservations are recommended for day and overnight facilities and some tours and activities. Some sites are reserved weeks and even months in advance, so early reservations are recommended. During any single reservation call, you may make reservations for only one time period per park. You will still be able to reserve multiple sites and multiple parks (with no overlapping dates). A reservation deposit is required in order to have a confirmed (guaranteed) reservation. The reservation deposit is equal to one day's fee for each facility reserved and will be applied to the total fee due upon registration. The reservation deposit must be received within 5 calendar days of making the reservation or the reservation is canceled. Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance of your arrival date, and the reservation deposit must be paid in order to have a confirmed (guaranteed) reservation. For your convenience, the Central Reservation Center accepts Visa and MasterCard for: payment of the reservation deposit and payment of all fees in full (which minimizes check-in time when you arrive). Use of your credit card provides immediate confirmation of your reservation.
Cancellations and Refunds ¾ The reservation deposit will be refunded if a reservation is canceled at least 72 hours before the arrival date. Refunds will be issued from the Central Reservation Center by crediting your credit card account, if you paid by credit card, or by check, if you paid by another method.
Specific Site Requests or Reservations by Site Number ¾ Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis upon arrival at the park and may not be reserved by number. However, requests may be considered if a particular site is required to accommodate equipment. Site assignments for adjoining or adjacent facilities will be honored, subject to availability. For cabins, preferences will be honored if available at the time of check in. The department reserves the right to change assignments if a confirmed cabin is out of service upon arrival.
GROUP FACILITIES
The process, by which drawings were held annually on January 11 at each respective park to reserve group facilities changed as of September 1994. Now reservations may be made for group facilities at the Austin Central Reservation number (512) 389-8900.
