Waco Lake

Waco Lake is a 7,270 acre reservoir on the Bosque River on the western edge of Waco, Texas. To get there from San Antonio, take IH 35 north toward Waco. Just south of Waco, exit on State Highway 6 west to the lake headquarters.

There are five separate camping areas with various facilities operated by the Corps of Engineers at Waco Lake: Airport Park, Speegleville I Park, Speegleville II Park, Midway Park, and Speegleville III Park. Speegleville II Park offers primitive camping only.

Recreational activities include swimming, fishing and boating.
