Lake E.V. Spence

Lake E.V. Spence is a 14,950 acre reservoir on the Colorado River north of San Angelo, Texas. To get there from San Antonio, take IH 10 west to Junction. From Junction take U.S. 83 north to Eden and proceed west on U.S. 87 to San Angelo. From San Angelo take State Highway 208 north to Robert Lee and from there continue north on State Highway 208 for Rough Creek Park or Lakeview Park or proceed southwest on U.S. 158 for Paint Creek Park or Wildcat Creek Park.

There are four separate camping areas with various facilities operated by the Colorado River Municipal Water District at Lake E.V. Spence: Rough Creek Park, Paint Creek Park, Wildcat Creek Park, and Lakeview Park.

Recreational activities include swimming, fishing, and boating.
