Hords Creek Lake is a 510 acre reservoir near Coleman, Texas. To get there from San Antonio, take IH 10 northwest to Comfort. From Comfort take U.S. 87 north to Brady and from there take U.S. 283 north to Coleman. From Coleman take FM 53 west to the lake headquarters area.
There are three separate camping areas with various facilities operated by the Corps of Engineers at Hords Creek Lake: Flat Rock Park, Friendship Park, and Lakeside Park.
Recreational activities include swimming, fishing, and boating.
