Granger Lake

Granger Lake is a 4,400 acre reservoir on the San Gabriel River near Granger, Texas. To get there from San Antonio, take IH 35 northeast to Austin. Approximately twenty-five miles north of Austin take the Georgetown exit and proceed east on State Highway 29 to State Highway 95. Take State Highway 95 north to Granger. From Granger take FM 971 east to the lake headquarters area.

There are four separate camping areas with various facilities operated by the Corps of Engineers at Granger Lake: Willis Creek Park, Friendship Park, Taylor Park, and Wilson H. Fox Park.

Recreational activities include swimming, fishing and boating.
