Toledo Bend Reservoir

Toledo Bend Reservoir is a 181,600 acre reservoir on the Sabine River on the border between Louisiana and Texas. To get there from San Antonio, take IH 10 east to Houston. From Houston take U.S. 59 north to Livingston and then take U.S. 190 east to Jasper. From Jasper take State Highway 63 east to Burkeville and then take State Highway 87 north to Toledo Bend Reservoir.

There are eight separate camping areas operated by the Sabine River Authority at Toledo Bend Reservoir. They are largely undeveloped and are suitable for primitive camping. Frontier Park, which is commercially operated, also offers camping facilities.

Recreational activities include swimming, fishing, and boating.
