Proctor Lake

Proctor Lake is a 4,610 acre reservoir on the Leon River near Comanche, Texas. To get there from San Antonio, take U.S. 281 north to Hamilton. From Hamilton take State Highway 36 northwest toward Comanche, turn north on U.S. 67/377 and proceed to the lake headquarters.

There are four separate camping areas with various facilities operated by the Corps of Engineers at Proctor Lake: Sowell Creek Park, High Point Park, Promontory Park, and Copperas Creek Park.

Recreational activities include swimming, fishing and boating.
