Bardwell Lake
Bardwell Lake is a 3,570 acre reservoir on Waxahachie Creek near Ennis, Texas. To get there from San Antonio, take IH 35 north past Waco to the separation of 35E and 35W and follow 35E. Take the FM 387 exit and stay on FM 387 to Italy, then take State Highway 34 northeast to Bardwell. The lake is about a mile and a half beyond Bardwell and the headquarters is on the other side of the lake.
There are four separate camping areas with various facilities operated by the Corps of Engineers at Bardwell Lake: Love Park, Waxahachie Creek Park, High View Park, and Mott Park.
Recreational activities include swimming, fishing, and boating.
