Wolf Mountain
A tract consisting of 650 acres located 5 miles west of Llano on State Highway 71. To get there from San Antonio, take IH 10 northwest toward Kerrville, exit on U.S. 87 and proceed north to Fredericksberg. From Fredericksberg take State Highway 16 north to Llano, then proceed west on State Highway 71/29 for a distance of 2.8 miles to the branch of 71/29. Take State Highway 71 toward Valley Spring and Brady for a distance of 2.3 miles. The gateway entrance to Wolf Mountain is on the right.
There are 8 campsites and 6 outpost campsites. Wolf Mountain presently has two activity shelters with electricity; one is a year-round facility. The camp has a 20 acre lake. While now suitable for weekend camping, the camp is scheduled to become a long-term camp in the future.
