C.W. Post Memorial Scout Camp
The C. W. Post Memorial Scout Camp is located 3 miles south of Post, Texas. To get there from San Antonio, take IH 10 northwest through Kerrville to Junction. From Junction take U.S. 83 north to Eden and turn west onto U.S. 87 and proceed to San Angelo. From San Angelo take State Highway 208 beyond Colorado City to U.S. 84 near Snyder and proceed northwest to Post.
The camp has 12 camping sites on 440 acres and is available year around, except during summer camp. Facilities include picnic tables, fire rings, toilets, showers, and water. Canoes are available for rent and there is a small lake for fishing and boating. Swimming is permitted only from Memorial Day to Labor Day. There are historical sites nearby for sight seeing.
