Camp Wisdom
Camp Wisdom is situated on 344 acres of land with a lake on the southwestern edge of Dallas. To get there from San Antonio, take IH 35 north to Dallas, exit onto IH 20 and proceed west to the Cedar Ridge exit. Proceed north on Cedar Ridge to the first possible left turn onto Red Bird Lane. The Camp Wisdom entrance is on the left approximately one mile from Cedar Ridge.

There are 12 campsites for tent camping plus three outpost sites. There are tables, fire rings, water, toilets, and showers available. Recreational activities include hiking, boating, canoeing, and fishing. Swimming is available during the spring and summer months. There are a Scout History Museum and a giant aquarium in the camp. There is sightseeing available nearby in the city of Dallas and there are many stores nearby for purchase of supplies. The National Headquarters of the Boy Scouts of America is nearby in Irving, Texas.
The camp is open all year around. There is a ranger on duty.
