Camp Pegasus
Camp Pegasus is located on 40 acres of land approximately twenty-two miles south of Midland, Texas. To get there from San Antonio, take IH 10 northwest through Kerrville to Junction. From Junction take U.S. 83 north to Eden and turn west onto U.S. 87 and proceed through San Angelo and on to Sterling City. Approximately 3 miles west of Sterling City, exit onto State Highway 158 and proceed to Midland. From Midland, go west on IH 20, turn south on FM 1788 for approximately 15 miles, west on FM 1787 approximately one mile. The camp is on the south side.
There are 8 campsites for tent camping. There is sightseeing available at the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum in nearby Midland and there is a store nearby for purchase of supplies.
The camp is open all year around. There is a ranger on duty.
