Camp James Ray
Camp James Ray is situated on 225 acres of land on Lake Texoma approximately fifty-five miles north of Dallas. To get there from San Antonio, take IH 35 north to Dallas. From Dallas take IH 75 north toward Denison and then take FM 120 west to Pottsboro. Take Highway 966 west, follow the Mill Creek Marina signs approximately 15 miles. The camp is on the left before Mill Creek.

There are 12 campsites for tent camping. There are tables, fire rings, water, toilets, and showers available. Recreational activities include hiking, boating, canoeing, sailing, and fishing. Swimming is available during the summer months. There is sightseeing available nearby at Grayson County Frontier Village. Eisenhower State Park and the birthplace of President Dwight D. Eisenhower are nearby, as well as the Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge.
The camp is open all year around. There is a ranger on duty.
