Camp Billy Gibbons
Camp Billy Gibbons is situated on 105 acres on Brady Creek 15 miles south of Richland Springs. To get there from San Antonio, take IH 10 northwest toward Kerrville, exit on U.S. 87 and proceed north to Fredericksberg. From Fredericksberg take State Highway 16 north through Llano and on to San Saba. From San Saba take U.S. 190 west to Richland Springs. Camp Billy Gibbons is on a dirt road located one mile west of Richland Springs off U.S. 190.
The camp is open year round by reservation. Troops wishing to use the facilities must make advance reservations and arrange for a key. There are nine sites for tents. Picnic tables are available as are water and showers. Swimming and fishing are available in river. Facilities for boating are available; however, you must have current "Safety Afloat" certification.
