Camp Bill Stark
Camp Bill Stark is located near Call, Texas. To get there from San Antonio, take IH 10 east to Houston and on to Beaumont. From Beaumont, take State Highway 12 northeast. Approximately 7 miles beyond Mauriceville, take State Highway 87 north approximately 20 miles. The camp is on the right.
The camp has ten camp sites and is open year around. It has all the usual facilities, water, toilets, showers, and tables. Tents may be rented, but there is no charge for use of boats or canoes by Scout units. Swimming is permitted from May 1 to September 30. Fishing and boating in Cow Creek, which flows through the camp, is permitted year round. There is sightseeing in the area at the E.O. Siecke State Forest and a store is located nearby. The nearest hospital is in Kirbyville 10 miles away.
