Baden - Powell Park

Baden-Powell Park is located on 20 acres of land on Lake Nasworthy near San Angelo. It has rest rooms and city water but there are no designated campsites at this time. Units should plan to participate in a service project when camping at this camp. To get there from San Antonio, take IH 10 northwest through Kerrville to Junction. From Junction take U.S. 83 north to Eden and turn west onto U.S. 87 and proceed to San Angelo. From San Angelo proceed south on U.S. 277/87 toward Christoval to the branch of 277/87. Take U.S. 277 for a distance of 100 yards beyond the branch to Grand Canal Road. Proceed west for a distance of 2.9 miles until the road turns south at the fish hatchery. The entrance to Baden-Powell Park is approximately 1/2 mile on the right.

Sightseeing is available nearby at Fort Concho.
